Why is a Mulligan Oil Change Not Like a Duck?

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck. We agree. All oil changes might appear to be the same, but ours is unique in the industry…
Take oil changes. A $19.95 oil change would be a bargain, but not if it only included draining the oil, filling the crankcase with conventional oil, and changing the filter.

A Mulligan Car Care Center oil change does all of that and a whole lot more. We only use semi-synthetic oil because this is a proven superior product for the engine.

We also perform the following with each oil change:
lubricate all door hinges, hood hinges and hood latch

  • set all tire pressures (including the spare)
  • measure tire tread depth
  • check your engine air filter
  • check all fluid levels
  • visually inspect engine hoses and drive belts
  • visually inspect the car’s undercarriage
  • check the condition of the battery, starter and alternator

Finally, we clean the front and rear windshields, and then vacuum the car’s interior. Best of all, we do all this for just $29.95. Now that’s a good deal!!

Many of our customers choose to add a can of BG MOA engine oil supplement (an additional $8.95) to extend their drain interval to 5,000 miles.

Not all oil changes are the same. Call to make an appointment to see the Mulligan Car Care difference.

Got Lights?

I have noticed as I drive locally an increasing number of cars and trucks with brake lights, head lights or tail lights out. Did you know that an inoperative light is cause enough to be pulled over by police?

Several customers have come in recently to tell me that they have been pulled over with a light out on their vehicle.

What sometimes happens is that you lose one light and it goes unnoticed. Then the second light goes and it becomes a safety issue – one that is easily preventable.

Don’t wait for the police to pull you over – or for an accident to happen – be proactive and stop in for a free light check!

OCTOBER IS NATIONAL CAR CARE MONTH

FOCUS ON TIRES ….

  • TIRE INFLATION PRESSURE INCREASES IN WARM WEATHER AND DECREASES IN COLD WEATHER (1-2 LBS FOR EVERY 10 DEGREE CHANGE IN TEMPERATURE)

SEASONAL ALERT

  • UNDER-INFLATION CREATES EXCESSIVE HEAT AND STRESS ON THE TIRE; OVER INFLATING TIRES MAKES THEM MUCH MORE SUSCEPTIBLE TO ROAD HAZARD DAMAGE
  • PROPER TIRE INFLATION FOR YOUR VEHICLE IS SPECIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURER AND CAN BE FOUND IN YOUR OWNER’S MANUAL
  • ALWAYS CHECK TIRE PRESSURE WHEN THE ENGINE IS COOL
  • CHECK TIRE PRESSURE MONTHLY AND BEFORE ANY LONG TRIP (CHECK THE SPARE, TOO)
  • IT IS IMPORTANT TO VISUALLY INSPECT TIRES FOR IMBEDDED NAILS OR OTHER OBJECTS; ALSO LOOK FOR ANY CUTS OR BULGES IN THE SIDEWALLS
  • WORN-DOWN TREADS CANNOT CHANNEL WATER AWAY
  • TIRES SHOULD BE REPLACED WHEN THE TREADS ARE WORN DOWN (“WEAR BARS” WILL APPEAR ON A TIRE WITH 2/32″ TREAD, CONFIRMING THE TIRE IS WORN OUT)
  • TIRES SHOULD BE ROTATED EVERY 5,000 MILES UNLESS RECOMMENDED OTHERWISE IN YOUR OWNER’S MANUAL
  • HAVE YOUR FRONT END ALIGNMENT CHECKED PERIODICALLY AS WELL, ESPECIALLY IF YOU FEEL THE VEHICLE “PULLING”SEE US IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT YOUR TIRES OR FOR A TIRE INSPECTION

Enter to Win a Free $149.95 Fuel Injector/Air Induction Service!

I began working in this business as a gasoline attendant, at time working two jobs. I
earned my ASE designation and eventually earned the Master Technician designation
(less than 5% of all automotive service technicians hold this). More recently I served as
a district manager for BG Products, a firm that manufactures top-quality supplements for
essential car systems.

Yes, opening this business has been my dream since I was a teenager. I don’t expect you
to be an expert at car repair, however I believe you expect and deserve the very best when it comes to your car.

I’m committed to delivering expert repair and maintenance to all cars, both domestic and
foreign, and straight talk when it comes to discussing how to best maintain your car.

We feature BG Products’ 10 unique preventive maintenance services that improve a car’s
performance, extend its useful life, and help avoid the breakdown of a major part of any
car system. Some of these services can improve fuel economy, too.

We’re pleased to launch our new website. We will roll-out additional helpful car
maintenance information and publish industry news that affects us all. We will also send
out periodic e-mail blasts that will contain unadvertised specials.
